The Focal Sib & Co. series loudspeakers
A few years ago the good folks at JM Lab / Focal looked around and saw the plethora of cheaply made and poorly-thought-out "Lifestyle" speakers that were hitting the market. Stylish, even unobtrusive, home theater speaker systems had become the order of the day. Unfortunately, the vast majority of these systems sounded less impressive than a decent car stereo. Focal knew they could do better than that and set out to design a system that could work in virtually any home decor ( including wall mounting), sounded great, and was affordable. The original Sib & Cub system was born. The two-way Sib satellite speakers were only 6"x10"x6.5" and had a cool, curvy styling unlike anything else on the marker and and the Cub self-powered subwoofer was a simple 12"x12" cube. The Sib & Cub 5.1 Home Theater System was an instant hit (and continues to be!), so Focal has taken the concept to the next level, producing an entire line of sytlish, great-sounding speakers to fit every budget and real-life considerations of space and decor.

The original Sib & Cub sytem caught our attention unlike anything else in years, and quickly got our customers equally excited. Imagine a small satellite/sub system for simple, stylish home theater set-ups that ACTUALLY SOUNDS GOOD! Each Sib is a compact 2-way bass-reflex speaker with an integrated foot/wall mount (floor stands available). The new Cub2 has upped the power to 150Watts and still has the controls we love including output level, crossover point, and even a phase switch. The Focal Sib and Sib XL speakers
And now we come to the Sibs ultra-versatile bigger brothers. The Sib XL is about twice as tall as the Sibs and adds another 5" bass driver for bigger dynamic range as well as the Focal OAL 3/4" aluminum tweeter for more top end extension. The XLs can be wall, floorstand, or even table-top mounted (as you can see at left) making them great companions for that new flat screen TV you just bought. They work well on their side as center-channel speakers, too! All Sib loudspeakers are fully shielded.
